Op-ed: Need for nuclear transparency
Fissile materials are dangerous substances and the peoples of the world have a right to know who has how much of these. If nuclear programmes are to continue, peace-loving people around the world should at least demand maximal transparency not just of Iran but also all countries with nuclear infrastructure.

Fishermen vent anger at nuclear
waste
A group of Norwegian fishermen are meeting British Nuclear Fuels
at a conference near Sellafield this week to discuss discharging radioactive
waste into the sea.
The fishermen are angry because they believe the waste is contaminating
marine life after it is carried with ocean currents north from the Irish
Sea to the North Sea.

BNFL Mox Fuel Scandal
Continues
WISE-Paris note: The following information has been put together and
translated by Aileen Smith on behalf of Green Action, Kyoto, Japan.
The reader should keep in mind that so far no MOX fuel has been introduced
into any operating commercial light water reactor in Japan. Therefore,
the start up itself of a significant programme of plutonium fuel use
is currently at stake in Japan.
